Last week I went to Turin with my classmates. We saw some cool places and did some visits that I’ll never forget.
Day 1: The arrival
We arrived at the airport of Turin around 8:30 AM. We were all tired but curious about what the day would bring.
The first day we visited a small part of the city. I think it was the beautiful part because while we were driving to the city from the airport, the streets were really grey and cheerless. Of course we enjoyed a delicious pizza at noon.
In the afternoon we visited the Museo dell’automobile di Torino.
It was a really nice experience to see how the cars have evolved through the years.
Day 2: The Italian style
The second day we visited the headquarters of Pininfarina, an Italian design house. A dream from my childhood came true.
Pinin Farina: You ask me what Italian style means. It means sense of proportion, simplicity and harmony of line, such that after a considerable time, there is still something which is more alive than just a memory of beauty
Their key recipe for car design is to maintain beauty, elegance and functionality.
The car on the platform is a tribute car made for Sergio Pininfarina.
In the afternoon we visited the R&D of the Fiat Group.
Day 3: The Italian lifestyle
We were lucky enough to visit the main building of the Fiat Group, but the big surprise was the visit to the factory of Maserati
It was a pity that we couldn’t take any pictures at the factory but I can tell you it was a very nice experience.
Italy isn’t all about cars but it’s also known for their beverages. One off them is definitely Martini, part of the Bacardi-Martini Group.
Our last visit was at a wine-grower, something you can’t skip when you’re in Italy.
Turin was a really nice city with a special, Italian atmosphere. The beautiful Italian language made it even better. The visits were really nice and interesting but there is one company that will be unforgettable for me and that is Pininfarina !
